Hey! I’m Jomari Rabor, but the people know me simply as “Joey.” I’m a recent graduate from Illinois State University, with a degree in Music Business. My work and interests revolve around music (duh), media, creativity, and the ways all those things are woven into pop culture.
I’m currently a production manager for SaaySaay, where I help in the execution of live cultural events and booking musical acts. From 2023 to 2026, I was a 4x award-winning music director in the world of competitive collegiate a cappella. In 2021 and 2022, I was one of the highest ranked vocalists in the state of Illinois (top 9 in 2022 for vocal jazz).
I am the founder and lead writer for JOMARI, and with this page I plan to write about aspiring creatives and live events happening in Chicago and the suburbs, where I can connect people and assist in their exposure.
